My Journey

I've always been fascinated by what happens in the spaces between people. Growing up, I was the one asking why: why some relationships worked and others didn't, why smart people sometimes got stuck. That curiosity first led me to marketing and advertising, where I learned how to change behaviour at scale. There I kept noticing the same pattern: great strategies failing not because they weren't smart enough, but because the people involved were pulling in different directions.

I then trained as a therapist, wanting to understand people at a deeper level. I took that understanding into leadership, spending a decade as CEO of two mental health charities. Those years taught me what happens when organisations get it right, and the cost when they don't. I learned that real impact comes from partnership: what one organisation can do alone is multiplied when you successfully navigate the messiness of working together. I also learned first hand how lonely leadership can be, and how easy it is to get in your own way.

I now work as a leadership and team coach, bringing together everything I've learned: commercial experience, therapeutic depth, and the lived reality of leading through complexity. I work with leaders and teams navigating change, helping them see what's going on beneath the surface and finding a way through it. My dual training means I can hold both the human and the organisational challenge at once.

Why I Work With Teams

You can coach a fantastic CEO to be more strategic, more decisive, more present. But if they return to a leadership team caught in unspoken tensions and competing agendas, nothing changes. The system pulls them back. I think teams are where the real leverage is. Get a leadership team genuinely functioning well, not just looking functional in meetings, and you unlock everything: better decisions, deeper trust and people building on each other's ideas instead of protecting their own.

I bring a therapeutic lens because teams are human systems, and human systems are messy. I work with teams brave enough to look at what's really happening, not the sanitised boardroom version. Teams who sense something needs to shift but can't quite name it. That's where the real work happens, and where transformation becomes possible.
